Wunderlin, Katja ; Vučka, Tomáš (advisor) ; Stárková, Zuzana (referee)
This work deals with the fate of selected places or villages in which the stories of Karel Klostermanns literary works take place. Klostermann was an important writer of the 19th century, who dealt with the lives and the residents of Šumava in his literary works. The plot of his novels and short stories take place in different localities of Šumava. Šumava is a place that was populated predominantly with a German-speaking population in this time. In 1945 this population was forced to leave the region. The goal of my work is to show the reality of the former time in the literary work of Karel Klostermann. The focus is on selected locations and their fate up to the present. As a basis for this analysis are two selected novels from Karel Klostermann: V ráji šumavském, Ze světa lesních samot. Keywords: Karel Klostermann, V ráji šumavském, Ze světa lesních samot, Šumava, Bohemian Forest, localities, fate, Březník, Kvilda, Horská Kvilda, Bučina, Knížecí Pláně

I have chosen specific time and place so that I can demonstrate issue of the expulsion of German population from the Czech borders area. I realize the extent of this issue and also that it is not possible to analyze the issue as a whole on dozen of pages. Still, I think that based on the findings of this research, readers will be able to imagine conclusions in a broader context and that this knowledge reader will be able to create an image of this issue in the present and its impact on the landscape and society. For the main part of this thesis I consider my photographs of the place, on which this work reports. On the basis of the theory of visual sociology, I consider these pictures the most important part of this work. On the basis of these photographs, the reader (or viewer) stores the information that is absorbed and his subjective perception of these images creates feel and the views of the problems with real...
